Our DiGiorno Pizza & Hoops House Party - March 19, 2011

Our DiGiorno Pizza & Hoops House Party yesterday got off to a slow start but it eventually was on a roll.  It was a crisp Saturday afternoon with a slight chill in the air.  There was a ton of food and drinks and the house was all decorated when the guests started to arrive at 3pm, right on time.  The food was coming out as the guests were arriving.  After everyone filled their stomach's with everything from pizza, breadsticks, wings, green salad with all the fixins, meat and cheese platters, kalua pig, spaghetti, italian meatballs, and more, Dollar Bill went around writing up all the name tags and then it was game on.

Half way through our party, the smoke alarm went off, so we opened up our house and tried to air it out.  It was not until party guests Flyin Hawaiian and Lane Frost went by the smoke alarm and waved the bam bams near it that the smoke alarm finally went off...thanks guys for everything!  Here is a picture of what they did.

After that, we started our first tournament and after all was said and done, Jaws came out on top as the number one player of all of us.  Soon after we started our second tournament and again Jaws cam out on top, two in a row champions.  Our third and final tournament was for kids only and after all was said and done Lane Frost was the champion.

After that, our guests continued to watch March Madness basketball games on tv, play outside and in the play room, talk stories and just enjoy each others company.  After all of our guests had come and gone, our party got over at about 730pm.

Our party was a success!  Everyone who came enjoyed themselves, had a ton of food to eat, had fun playing our basketball tournaments and enjoyed their time here.  One of our guests even asked: "Is it delivery?" and the rest of us responded: "no, it's DiGiorno".  The pizzas, breadsticks and wyngz were DELICIOUS!

I was so excited this past week when I received my DiGiorno Pizza & Hoops House Party Pack in the mail.

We are having our House Party this Saturday and have invited about 30 people so we should have a great time!  We are really looking forward to it!

Ever since we found out that we were selected as a host for the DiGiorno Pizza & Hoops House party, we have been on the look out for basketball stuff to enhance our party experience. 

We found a wastebasket that looks like a basketball hoop, some mini water basketballs, mini foam basketballs and some return basketballs at the Dollar Store.  Next stop is probably Party City because they probably have the best selection of party items and I'll save some money using the $10 off of $50 printable coupon that I received in an email from them.

Yesterday, my oldest son and I went through, cleaned and organized the garage so if they want to hang out in there it's ready.  We will also have our patio table and chairs set up on our back patio so the kids can play in our fenced in back yard.  Inside is where all the delicious food will be created, cooked and set up.  My husband knocked out the lawn so that is good to go.

Our House Party is looking to be a great time and we cannot wait to party with good friends and co-workers.

Our Star Wars: The Clone Wars House Party

On Friday, September 17, 2010, our family was very fortunate to be selected to hold our very own Star Wars: The Clone Wars House Party thanks to House Party and Hasbro.

From the moment we found out that we were selected to host our very own Star Wars: The Clone Wars House Party, we were super excited and could not stop thinking of ways to make our party funtastic!  We are all Star Wars fans and have been for years so we knew this party was going to be super fun.  Once we got our guest list together and sent out our invites, our minds started to flow with easy, inexpensive ideas.  We received our party pack from House Party and Hasbro which contained a Star Wars: The Clone Wars tournament game with 10 action figures, 10 tattoo sheets, 10 Clone Cash coupons, and 10 exclusive online codes to play online.  Here is a picture of what came in our House Party Party Pack.

Along with what we received in our party pack, we purchased Star Wars: The Clone Wars themed items (table cloth, various stickers, napkins, plates, masks and cups), streamers and glow stick bracelets from the dollar store, bubble wands and water bottles from Walmart that we decorated with stickers and plain cake that we decorated with stickers & The Clone Wars action figures that we purchased on our own.

Along with the party supplies we purchased, we purchased kid friendly foods like space rocks (chicken nuggets), light sabers (chicken fries) and we also offered some healthier options like green salad, grapes, celery, pop chips, dip, asteroids (corn dogs) and as part of our refreshment station we offered juice packs and boxes, carrot orange juice and carbonated beverages.  Here is a picture of our table scape.

Our guests had fun talking, watching movies, playing games (board, video games and online games), watching the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season Premiere, hanging out and playing with each other and simply sitting and talking to each other.  All in all, all 11 kids and 4 adults had a wonderful time.  Seeing all the kids having a blast together made me happy but when my eldest told me that it was the best party we ever had, that was extra special to me.  It was a blast!  Thank you to all who attended and enjoyed themselves!
